    Re: Smart MR2 conversion

    Ingredients
    One Smart Fortwo
    Wide Wheels
    Uprated suspension
    2ltr Yamaha (mr2) engine
    performance engine internals
    Cams
    turbo
    Ecu upgrades
    shiny bits

    Method
Take one fortwo, mix gently in a bowl with 2ltr engine till mixture is smooth, slowly sprinkle uprated suspension and wider wheels until light and fluffy, mix needs to stand for an hour to allow for the ingredients to bind, after this you can now add cams/turbo/ecu upgrades/performance engine internals to suit your taste, bake slowly over a low heat until desired colour is acheived, allow to cool. As an added decoration using a sieve powder with shiny bits and then have your cake and eat it

BTW smart + 450bhp = amazing coffin ............:silvertri

MR2 with turbo and a bit of work - 450bhp - that's what my son had out of his.... Imagine that much power in a fortwo!

    Re: Smart MR2 conversion

The guys name is Nik....lives a few miles away from me, no I didn't take any pics (sorry) but I think he's keeping it under wraps a bit, until it's finished.

the engine installation looks very neat, and he has multi-adjustable rear suspension set up....that he says can be lowered to the extent that the sump vertually drags on the ground!!!

It IS going to look like no other smart as well......rear end is VERY wide (even with standard wheels, and he aims to fit some monster size wheels/tyres before its done).....and will feature the rear quarter panels (which he has in place) from a 451, modded a lot to fit!

He's in no great rush with it though, and I doubt it will be finished before next year (at the earliest?)

I'm sure when it's ready it will be featured on all the forums!!!

You have seen it then, any pictures yet.

Nick has been on the phone almost daily since he came to see Froglet at the last Shelsley meeting. It should be awsome on the road.

    Good luck to him
