  • Oil change

Apologies if this is a dumb question, but can anyone tell me how you change the oil? It's a 2001 ForTwo/CityCar.

    Re: Oil change

You'll need a pela oil pump to get the oil out as the sump doesn't have a drain bolt.

        Re: Oil change

        CORRECTION:-

You do NOT need a pela 600 oil pump to pump the oil out!!!!

All you need is a SUITABLE oil pump, there are several types on the market, Pela just happens to be one manufacturer's offering.

I am not saying that the pela is not a good pump or that it is not suitable, just that it's not the one one you could buy.

Do some research for yourself on the Internet and just put oil suction pump into a search engine and go from there.....

        Regards,

        John

          Re: Oil change

If you get one of the silly cheap ones off ebay, you'll be there for AGES cos they don't use vacuum suction like a pela, you have to pump like mad. Pela is much easier!

Here are some, for the money, I'd buy the 2.5 litre one and maybe empty it mid way!

Any marine supply company can provide you with a suitable pump as the vast majority of boat engines don't have oil sump drains.
