We bought ours with no service history, sadly there are very very few that have had anything like enough attention to them.

Nah it wouldn't necessarily put me off, but at 9500 including my part ex car, it is a bit premium really.

Ouch. We paid just under that (though without the dealer back up) when it was 30c last summer - Crossblade weather, when the prices are normally highest.

Yeah summer I imagine to be the best time to sell. It was glorious sunny weather yesterday, perfect for getting a feel for whether it's the right move. Definitely interested, but not going to rip myself off!

              A couple more questions guys.

Regarding insurance, I would probably slap my NCB on the Crossblade, leaving me with no NCB for my everyday car. Admiral seems to be the best place for this looking at their multi-car policy, anyone have any better suggestions.

Also, the garage I have is not heated, will this be a problem in the long run? I know it's a car and should be fine, but I am just wondering.

Check and maintain (at all costs) both the door bar latch mechanisms, if they jam with the bar down you've got big issues. .
About this issue- are there any tips other than making sure the mechanism is well greased?

On mine I took out the plastic sleeves that appear to be there just to stop them rattling. Anything gets into them and it jams. The pic shows mine in pieces, there's also a spring that is inside the main part of the latch, and that's held in place by a screw on cap (you can see where it threads onto). When undoing that thread, put a thin wire nail through the hole in the "plunger" to stop it all springing off at high speed! The sleeve fits on the plunger (the part on the right) below the white washer. It's a VERY tight fit and the sleeve I took out from both sides are badly scored, and the shavings get into the mechanism.

Oh and if you take it apart, make sure they work before you lower the bar (I tell you this from experience :censor It is very easy to put the handle end of the mechanism in the wrong way and then the handle doesn't work (as it's pushing on the cable instead of pulling it)

I would add that you do this job at your own risk, don't take my word as gospel!

Rob, I am due to take the front end of mine soon to put on the RHD spec lights I have got & modded, to replace the LHD spec fronts (did rears & the speedo last year ) ........any tips or other info on front end removal would be much appreciated.

                    :thanx:

Will give them a go. One came up for a spell in Newcastle for £8k but soon disappeared!

This weather would be awesome in this car...
