The art of a good "Mod" to me , and its to any car not just a SMART, is one that gives the owner pleasure performance or pride whilst if possible adding value to the car .
You can of course add a Mod that gives yourself pride performance or pleasure and adversely affect the value of the car...is not necessarily wrong I can think of many Mods and cars that this would apply where the pride pleasure performance and passion is worth the loss in value ....so normally I would say I am not sure I would list cars like buildings MrPoo but having seen a few Crossblades at the weekend at the ACE I am pretty close to agreeing with you on this one !!!Comment

Perhaps I should clarify, rare cars ought to be protected from damage/modification. My car is modified, not everyone likes what I've done but black pulses are ten a penny (as far as smarts are concerned) there's only 2000 of these in the whole world

my Powerdrive was one of five (out of 27 made), my Berkeleys - all less of a production run than a Crossblade (the B95, one of less than 200), my Nobel one of perhaps 600, the Mochet, the only one in Britain!
Crossblades are common in comparision! He's modified it to his taste and that's his right!
Personally, there are some hideous smarts out there - both roadsters and fortwos (and even forfours) - but their owners like them, and that's all that counts.sigpic

Well I heard that whilst there was orginally going to be 2000 (and 2000 unique numbering plates were made), only 800ish cars were produced.
The numbering plates were randomly assigned, hence mine (1091) is higher than the number of cars made.Comment
