There is no recall or service measure. Just an expensive bill when the door bar gets jammed! Check out my post on 'Door bar stuck'!Originally posted by smartsparks View PostDoor recall ???

I followed your problem. Rather worried by the bills. Is there anything that MB suggested to prevent it happening again?Originally posted by Sullivj View PostThere is no recall or service measure. Just an expensive bill when the door bar gets jammed! Check out my post on 'Door bar stuck'!

MB say to grease the door locks, but that's crazy. The only way you can grease them is to take them apart and I BET, MB never do that on a service.Originally posted by gdowling View PostI followed your problem. Rather worried by the bills. The short answer to this is you HAVE to take the locks apart, inspect the inner sleeve for grooves and grease it. Also DO NOT spray water into the end of the opened bar when you're cleaning the car. It forces dirt into the lock mechanism and jams it.
I hope you never have the problem I did.
