i find that my Babus back end does every so often kick out. This usually happens when im drivin in the wet! Michelins for you!!

I would love to go on a track day and test different tyres to see which is really the best for my brabus!! Now that would be fun!!!

When looking at the tyre sizes i think i will just keep the same tyre sizes but get some better tyres! Still havent got a clue where to get some decent tyres from!!

A bit off the conversation of tyres is there track day coming up soon!?

As the hot days are nearly here i am finding now that my tyres are starting to grip much better but i am still abit edgy on these michelins!

Its a shame that Bridgstone dont do tyres for Brabus smarts!!!

Well I got the Toyos fitted on Wednesday and they've now scrubbed in a bit and feel great.

There appears to be less sidewall flexing around tight corners and there is less skittering and greater grip around bends.

this is the only reason why i'm looking to replace the rears with something because it really is a "kick" when it goes and not really a slide... its quite scary when you get caught out by it.

We have Yoko's on our car, 194/45's at the front and 195/50's at the back. It does affect the Trust+ for a wee while. All it does it cut power. After a quick blast along a dual carriage way its fine. It seems the ESP / Trust + can adapt to small changes in tyre size.

The Yoko's are fab by the way. The grip like a *beeeeep* in the wet and the dry.

Are you sure it's adapting and not just turning itself off? I think if the ESP shows an error for long enough it will turn off and requires resetting by Smart to work again.

The ESP will need to be very cleaver if it can adjust for two different wheel sizes. As the speed difference between the front and back wheels will not be constant but vary depending on the speed of the car. It may be that going on a motorway blast makes the speed difference so large it just turns off the ESP.

Update on my experiences with the Dunlop SP9000s: they are not as good as the Michelin Pilots. Been throwing the Brabus around the last couple of days and the Dunlops disappoint me quite a bit.

I used to use them on one of my previous cars, I found they were great when new, but went 'hard' and lost grip pretty quickly.

Michelin Pilots on the same car would stay grippy from the first turn to the last

I now have two Continental 205/45/16's for sale.

How are the Toyo's on wear Koul? What are your thoughts now? Will you be sticking with Toyo at replacement time? What's the road noise like? Is wet grip ample?

So many questions, I've just done the usual checks, and the rear Continental's that I put on less than 9 months ago are all but shot, the fronts need replacing on the basis of cracking, so I'm thinking about Toyo all round.

Any feedback now you've had them a while would be great

I have a smart roadster brabus and limited on what i can buy. The alloys at the back a weird size and i will be needing new tyres buy the end of summer!!

thats very true but i will be buying some of them in a year or two once i have the money because they look great!!!! BUT i still need to know what to get for my Brabus! I don't really want Michealins again as they arnt that good.

The car slides every where! There are not that good! In the wet its like driving on ice. Unless its my driving!!

i would like to get some Toyos for my car! they are a softer compound and just a better tyre i think unless someone can proove me wrong!
