I disagree, its beautiful in a different way. Look at all the detailing on it, from the CGT-esq gear lever position to the spaced rear plate and the forone sticker. I am really looking forward to seeing this on the hills!

You could easily put a second seat in it, but why would you wont to for hillclimbing. Lets see how it goes before we consider sale!!!!!

                    Which engine is that? 3SGE or AW11? (I take it it's not a 3SGTE! )

Even the base engines were 158bhp!!! Auto's were less but the later engines were 178bhp!!! Awesome! the turbo engine would be insane.

Plus looking at pics it has a nice manifold which is worth a few ponies.
The latest 3SGE 'beams' engine (shortly before the Mk2 was discontinued) put out 200bhp (red cam cover), very good from a non-turbo!
I think a turbo'd one would be too insane for the smart, 1994 onwards they were ~245bhp in stock form and could be wound up to near 300bhp with really basic mods.

This is a car that weighed 560kilos with its smart engine... even allowing a little extra weight for the 3GSE, its going to be pretty nippy.

Theres some really interesting cars being developed for this season, in the same class I believe there is a Duratec Fiesta mk1 with roller body throttles, quaife sequential box... I hope the Smart is going to really suprise everyone on a fraction of the aformentioned cars budget.
