Re: TV touch screen ?
Oh that's a good idea with the blue tac and yeah I'll try work out where sounds good for me is it that the tweeters ment to be close to your ears as possible ?
Yeah thanks for that worry about installing lol I'm not to bad with my hands defo don't want to do a bodge job ! Also do think it is worth a pop to a few local scrap yards not just to see if they got the tweeter upgrades just to get spare plastics just incase of error lol
And thanks very much for the offer mateI should be ok but if all fails I might call upon you ;-)
Not sure when I'll be able to get all bits but will try to update on the thread as much and as soon as I cancheers

Re: TV touch screen ?
The best way to place the tweeters is the crudest I'm afraid.
Make the wire to the tweeter very long to start with, then u put blue tax on the back and you put in different places until you get the sound YOU like, then you worry about installing and looks.
For example you might decide it sounds best on top of the dash, so you need to think about mounting them like mine or you might like them where the mirror is. So you make your own builds or go scrapyard to find a vehicle that had the upgrade tweeters and use those mounts. Don't just stick them anywhere
I'm glad you are close if you want a hand fitting it I'll see what I can do, however it's not hard as long as you plan, read and follow the many guides out there.Last edited by adrimo; 18-12-13, 10:42 PM.

Re: TV touch screen ?
Oh ok that's cool but yeah I'll get the cables last looks like I'll have to put a spare kenwood single headunit in.
Then save up the cash for the pioneer double din :-( boo !!! So hopefully the kenwood radio is ok for the time being !!
Well guys I no what I want now thanks to all that have feed me information/knowledge, so I'm pretty sure on putting it together the hardest bit out of this is to do the tweeters build but we're see on where I decide to put them !
So again thanks to all who put up with me and gave me good input :-)

Re: TV touch screen ?
You can buy a kit and like jj said you will have to cut the cables but there is no reason why you can't keep the spare cable for future upgrades
Plus you will need 2 RCA cables (better flexibility) I think the kit only has one (amp can run 1 I think)
IMO cable is cables electrons are not very clever so don't know the difference between value and finest cables, decent shielded RCA cables offer better protection from interference, then as long as u buy cables the correct thickness you will be fine, just sort out the other bits first then get the cables etc after.
There are many ICE pro's that use welding cable for power, make their own RCA etc so brand is not really important.

Re: TV touch screen ?
It's just an amp wiring kit.... Loads on eBay.
Depending on where your amp is going, there's no point buying a kit that has 5m of cable (where will it all go?)

You should have no problems that company, don't rush it I'm always very impatient but take your time and when it's in you will love it. Still shop around if you can but ebay not always cheaper.
Your really having a bad influence on me, I'm thinking of squeezing a double din in my 450 now. Hhhhhmmmmm decisions decisions

Regular sized amp not the compact amp u showed before, how about this one to finish of your focal set up
And then we need to talk about cabling and wires so set aside another £100 ish, you will need
2 sets RCA 2.5m-3m leads(front and rear) which send the sound to the amp
3m of power cable(usually red) 8 awg should be fine but I use 4awg which is twice as thick(personal choice)
1/2m earth cable same power but(usually black)
4m remote wire from head unit to amp tells amp when to turn on and off
1m sub speaker wire
10m speaker wire
Then cable ends and clips etc
Yeah that compact one gone out the window as did a few reviews on it and it gets very very hot and sometimes even cuts off ! So I forgetting about that one now So regular one all the way now ;-)
Now that is freaky I just saw that amp on eBay thought it was a good oneso that meets all requirements then ? Have to measure the space I have behind the seat too then ! And yeah didn't know the wires add up like that much just been looking at them too plus my mate said not worth spending good money on the equipment if you go and get rubbish leads now !!
Cool that's not too bad then ! HU and amp the most cost then ! Best get some OT in at work lol ! So annoying I just want it all now !!! Aaarrrrgggg.....
One other thing the website you mentioned is defo a good secure one trusted yeah ! Cheers for putting up with me lol

An all focal will be a great system, if you don't mind that sub then that's a good one just check the dimensions are ok with your boot, my smart is my second car so I never depend on the boot for carrying things.
I think it's better to put the amp behind the passenger seat rather than underneath the seat, it allows you to adjust easily after it's put in. And with that get a regular focal 4ch amp, will probably be around the same price.
Just to confuse you more that sub is in a ported box which means it has a vent(hole in your term) this means it can play deeper bass as the port allows the sub to move more air thus creating more powerful bass. This is a way of having a smaller box with more output. There are cons but nothing you need to worry about.
I'm quite enjoying this thread, I don't post a lot but it's a topic I loveand why did ya say "if you don't mind that sub then that's a good one" what as in I like it look wise etc ?!
yeah I still haven't checked out the measurements yet but even no this is really just my back and forward to work car and the odd popping out on my own that makes the whole boot free to sub it upyeah I decided on fitting the amp behind the seat due to them reasons. And now confusing me more what's the "regular" focal amp ? And I'm not to worry about the sub having the hole in it then cos I can change it if needed only going for this one due to only "FOCAL" 10" sub I can find. Well I'm glad your loving the thread I'm getting less hair and grey hairs lol and I'm just amazed on random people like your self taking time to share knowledge. ;-)
I would say I would love to share some but I haven't got a clue in this department haha :-/
AGAIN THANKYOU ALL SO FAR.....
