    Re: TV touch screen ?

I think you are looking for something purely based on price!

What's wrong with alpines or sony?

I understand that it's best to get the most for your money but for the smart, there really isn't a huge benefit from spending on high quality speakers.

The alpines I posted up will last longer than your car and will cope with any HU easily.

Maybe you need to go back to your requirement and start your thinking afresh

Ive recently spoken to the place where they sell the S100 replacement that fits in the 451 and that to me looks the best option for me, you can add TV, and Cameras for front and rear. It looks like it was standard fitment to the smart. Like Evilution said the original fitment is a bit ****.

They do one for the earlier smarts too. For me thats the best thing that looks like it should be in the car, the facias dont look all that great to me and the other manufacturers offerings dont seem as if they would look very nice at all in the Smart.

    The ESK's are 300 Watt rating & the DSK's are 160 Watt.
Personally I'd go for the the lower rated ones, as they'll probably be more sensitive & take less to drive them, therefore sound better at lower volumes.

That's the action price currently and ta not moved for 3 days.

They are excellent value and great sound.

You can then spend an extra £100 on the HU

And if you get the alpines I listed instead of the kenwoods you have another £100 to add to the HU fund

Tweeters and kids will be ok from the HU (they come with a crossover so +ve and -ve in and then 2 sets out for tweet and mid)

The sub end losers come with their own amp built in (active amp) so they will blast out way beyond what you need.

Once it's all in, if you decide you want more power from your normal speakers then you can get a small 2ch amp. Good thing is with the battery where it is and an amp wiring kit, it's almost plug and play.

Wow you gone all out don't think illd be that confident in taking half the car a part lol but good job man looks great bet it sounds great too so does that set up work good as you can see from the thread some don't mind under seat subs others saying stay away I don't really have anywhere that I can listen to either of them either !

    So I think I will get a

    1) Pioneer double din HU
    2) Orion, pioneer, alpine, jbl, focal door speakers and tweeters
    3) Sub
    4) Amp ???

So I see you have a amp would I have to get a amp if I get tweeters, door speakers and a sub or will them items run off a good HU if so what defines a "good enough" HU ?
