    Re: TV touch screen ?

You get a much better contact from wire to connector with solder than the usual gash bullet connector via crimping as they generally are a rough squashing of the body onto the wires (unlike a well designed crimped terminal and associated tool) and often the wire can pull out of the contact when someone doesn't crimp them properly (ie tired girly hands etc ) also the cables can corrode easily in the bullet if your car is damp degrading the connection over time, not really an issue with soldered connections.

But there again someone maybe gash at soldering too? and bullets are generally designed to be crimped not soldered

Much better than twisted together and covered in tape though!

I use connectors that way when I change speakers or cables it's simple, I have never had any issues.

    Cool thanks John

Oh this seems like a hard work ?! Is this what others have done ?

And it's 1.5mm I thick speaker cable thick it would just be easy to drill a hole through the wing then grommet it and join it with the other door wiring ??

carpet out is a big move for such a small distance

i just removed the door seal and then popped the cables down there.....

as you have the carpets out though.....run the speaker cables down the centre of the car and the power cable the other side to avoid any "noise".

It's fine just make sure it's bare metal not painted metal, if painted rub it down a bit.

Your doing well I didn't take out my carpet I was lazy.

Gonna be doing mine again soon as I'm bored and I might enter competitions, maybe
