Is that the car wiring or radio wiring?

    Re: TV touch screen ?

you should just need to plug the head unit in. job done. it should not be so difficult as it is on this thread. many others have changed headunits.
in the pics you have a standard iso which should connect into the car and the headunit.

    the brown is earth,
one will be from the light switch blue and white?
the other black and white will prob be antenna power
    black should be ignition
red and blue battery but to be fair i think something is missing from that loom. i will double check for you later what the colours actually are.

    where abouts are you?
do you have a hands free unit?
can you also check what happens when you turn the car lights on? does the unit come on?

Well I have asked many different places for a fortwo ISO and they have all said they don't make them for that car but do make them for the forfour !

    Re: TV touch screen ?

Looking at your pictures, I am not sure if you are using an ISO adapter to convert the Smart cars' "Not ISO" compliant wiring loom to the Head Units ISO compliant loom.

Visit some where like Halfrauds and look at the radio accessories wall. Find an adapter that matches the maker of your Head unit and the model of your Smart car.

Now you have a known base to start from if it doesn't work.

A lot of aftermarket Head Units have a quick change system to allow you to swap the lead which needs a permanently on power connection (to run the clock and program memory) and the lead which is connected to the a switched live (This is the one that actually runs the head unit). These are usually REd & yellow in colour, but as you have discovered - they can be any colour!

The Thick brown lead in one of your photos is likely to be an earth lead, but it might not which is why you need to use a multimeter to see if it has power on it. The Black lead should be an Earth. The leads in the other connector are likely to be the speaker outputs.

The Head unit should have come with diagram showing what all the leads (and colours) are and what they do.
If you haven't got that diagram, use Google to find the manufactures web site and down load the correct handbook which will have it in.

    Re: TV touch screen ?

    multimeter......

switch to 20v DC .......which is probably about the 1 o'clock position?? (but depends on type of meter but as this image)

the car should output 12v DC (ish)

the black connector on the multimeter is the earth so clip/poke onto a grounding point like a door hinge

touch the red connector onto anything you need to know is power (12v)

on the feeds from your car would be the red/blue (perm 12v) and the black/grey (12v switched)
