I decided to walk away from the car not only because of the dump valve noise which I don't think I would have put up with but also I did an hpi check and found that the car has had 5 previous owners which would have made me the 7th in 7 years. Also the dump valve is an obvious modification as well as the side grills which would have made the insurance more expensive. Also I dont know if the car had any service history at all.
