Actually SAABs share their floorplan with a mondeo
Vectra. GM own Saab (and are trying to get rid), Ford own Volvo (and are trying to get rid too). My dads Focus has Volvo parts in it (I think the windscreen washer fluid tank for one).
That ForTwo+2 probably isn't that accurate, Auto Express is a comic mag anyway :p . Smart had the right idea with the original ForFour, it was just based on the wrong mitsubishi, should have been based on the i car.
Once again my poor attempt at sarcasm is missed................who cares who they are made by, its sold by Smart, therefore it is a smart, and if I could afford one I would have a Brabby ForFour in an instant
I didn't mention that the forfour was a shitsushishi in this thread!
The Colt is not built in a Mitsubishi factory for the UK / European market, the factory is owned by Daimler AG, I stand by my opinion that the forfour is not a smart...... its a generic eurobox developed to meet a criteria.
Daimler AG own a portion of Mitsubishi, all petrol 1.8 mercs (badged as 160, 180, 200 and 230) have a Mitsubishi engine....
The forfour is still not, in my mind what smart was originally designed to be!

And i'm sure the same was said by Rover owners when they launched the City Rover..., "it's a Rover, honest"...
